Howdy, League City Neighbors!

I am excited to announce my candidacy for Position 5 in the upcoming May 3 Special Election. Like many of you, I believe it’s time for fresh faces on our City Council—faces that represent the true interests of our community.

I moved to League City when I was 11 years old, and it has been my cherished home ever since. My husband, our two children, and I have watched this community grow and evolve over the past 24 years. I am passionate about our city and believe I have the qualities needed to serve you effectively on the Council.

Throughout my time here, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to our community through various leadership roles. I have been a dedicated advocate for our library as both Trustee and Board Secretary and have worked tirelessly for drainage improvements after Hurricane Harvey. My volunteer work at my children’s schools has allowed me to support our educational system and foster a sense of community. Additionally, I am currently finishing my MBA, which I will complete on May 17. This advanced education has equipped me with valuable skills in management and strategic planning, which I believe are crucial for effective governance. I continue to support our community as a board member of my HOA and the Galveston Arts Center.

I promise to run my campaign with integrity, responsibility, and a deep commitment to our community. I won’t make promises I can’t keep, but I will promise to always strive to represent your interests and work tirelessly for the betterment of League City. I promise to keep my focus pointed squarely at the issues that impact our community without distraction.

Together, we can be the change!

Sincerely,
KG
